It is a well-known fact that the Dutch royal house has its roots in Germany. Walk in the footsteps of the royal family and follow the Orange tour along the cities that have a historic connection with the Dutch royal house. The daughters of Governor Frederick Henry and Amalia of Solms were given a palace after their marriages with a local sovereign. The names still testify to this: Diez has a castle named Oranienstein, in UNESCO world heritage “The Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz” you can find the Oranienbaum Palace and near Berlin there is Oranienburg Palace.
